Light the candles, sing the blessings, eat the challah. A nice start but why not create a classroom pre-Shabbat ritual that causes children to wish that each day were Shabbat? Come to exchange ideas, learn Shabbat songs and activities, as well as a Shabbat circle dance, and a L'cha Dodi pat-a-cake that will help round out your classroom celebration of Shabbat in ways that are fun, meaningful and memorable. Tape/CD recorders welcome. Song sheets will be distributed.
