Z’man Likro, Time to Read Hebrew, is a Hebrew reading program based on educational research as outlined in the article Why Jonathan Can’t Read (Dori and Lenchner 1983). It was initially designed to meet the needs of the learning disabled child. Subsequently, it was recognized by ARE Publishing as a well thought out program that is appropriate for all learners. Within a few years the program gained popularity and was widely adopted. Research of the last 20 years further validates the program’s enduring principles. In this session the program’s guiding methodology will be revisited, with special attention to how it can be best used with children with learning challenges as well as other populations. Special live demonstration with a current student.
